ntef™ is the first and only MBDC Cradle to Cradle certified cm formulation for use in the production of self-skinning molded PU components. As an MBDC certified approved ingredient, ntef™ allows for the production of self-skinning PU parts that are CAL 117 and BIFMA compliant. The use of ntef™ eliminates the need for more traditional flame retarding halogenated compounds such as chlorine and bromine. PU molded parts produced using ntef™ are also 100% recyclable.

The use of ntef™ presents the added benefit of helping your finished products achieve a Silver, Gold or even Platinum level of certification by MBDC. ntef™, with its flame retarding and environmental benefits,it is currently only offered for use in our water-based Nice Touch PU products. Nice Touch provides an upscale finish to PU components giving the finished product a lush, tactile touch and upscale aesthetic.

The development of ntef™ opens up a whole new world of possibilities for contract furniture design. The ability now exists to create arm caps, head rests or any number of other components that not only look and feel more luxurious, but also contribute to the overall health of our planet.
